Hello friends and family,<\/p>\n
Thank you for your encouraging return emails and for your prayers!
\ntwo nights ago we said goodbye to all the friends we had made in Korr
\nbecause, although I will be coming back to stay in Korr another month,
\nRado won’t be. The last little while in Korr has been both enjoyable
\nand not so enjoyable…<\/p>\n
Getting to know the youth more and being able to encourage each other
\nin our walks with Jesus has been a privilege. As well as being able to
\npray together and read the bible together. I’m learning the need to be
\nbold in talking about Jesus with them and how hard it really is to
\nfaithfully disciple someone and speak God’s word to them. It must be
\nwritten on our hearts and we need to know it well.<\/p>\n
I’ve had the opportunity to hear two young guys stories. They’re both
\nfrom poor families and have had a pretty rough time. But, with the
\nlittle that they have, they trust God to “propser them and not harm
\nthem, to give them hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11) and they see
\nGod, providing for them and their families. One of them, Losotu, who I
\nget to talk to sometimes. He loves to encourage others with his story.
\nHe will pull me aside and talk to me about these things and it’s
\nreally encouraging to see him so much desiring others to live for
\nJesus. He loves to encourage others to “put their minds on things
\nabove and not on earthly things.” Because he knows that our hearts
\nbelong with God.<\/p>\n
The bible studies I’ve had with a group of guys has been a good
\nlearning experience for me and I hope, a help to them. We talk about
\nthe things we’ve thanked God for over the past week and also the
\nchallenges we’ve been having. Then we discuss a bible passage together
\nand pray.<\/p>\n
Spending our time in Korr has been a bit difficult because I have a
\ntendency to worry about being ineffective and sometimes I found myself
\nhaving no idea what to do and feeling a bit hopeless… I continue to
\npray for this and ask God to help me find direction in my life.<\/p>\n
Now we are looking forward to our debrief time in Tanzania as we travel there.<\/p>\n
We are safe and well currently staying in Nanyuki, Kenya, on our way
\nto Nairobi, the capital today to catch a flight to Dar Es Salaam in
\nTanazania. Here, we will spend four days with the whole GO team to
\nrelax and review our time together. The time that we had on the
\nmission field in our placements in pairs.<\/p>\n
After this, I will fly back to Nairobi and travel to Korr, where I
\nwill spend another month.<\/p>\n
I appreciate your prayers, for safety and spiritual growth over this
\ntime and for the building up of the church especially in the youth in
\nKorr.<\/p>\n
