The aim of this job is to make the name of Jesus known among the Gabbra and Borana sharing the scriptures, building relationships, discipling and equipping the believers.<\/p>\n

Major tasks would involve a certain amount of backyard mechanic such as with diesel & petrol engines & farm equipment maintenance. Welding. There is no access to air tools and it requires a willingness to do \u2018jerry rigging\u2019 as this is a very remote location. There would also be an involvement with the church\/youth group depending on age, gifting and experience.<\/p>\n

There are lots of ministry opportunities. The Bible can be communicated to people during their daily activities, Bible studies, children ministry, ladies’ conversation, helping youth develop their skills.<\/p>\n

Required: <\/strong>Experience of working on both diesel and petrol engines, primarily in engines built from 1980 to present. Most work is done without air compression tools or diagnostic machinery. A basic understanding of the Christian doctrine and experience in teaching small groups at church (any age group) would be important.<\/p>\n

Desired:<\/strong> Formal education is not a requirement so long as the mechanic has experience. To have other skills such as medical care, veterinary science, teacher, mechanic or builder would be a bonus!<\/p>\n
