Short Term – Church Youth Worker, Kotido Uganda
AIM is looking for a Short Termer to develop the youth ministry among the Karimojong (directly and indirectly) people
Major tasks:
- Learn the local language and understand local and CoU culture, develop relationships in diocese (month 1-3)
- Work alongside current diocesan youth coordinator at at the cathedral with youth who are connected to that congregation/ work in a secondary school to develop youth disciples. (month 3-6)
- In conjunction with diocesan youth coordinator work alongside parish youth coordinators to develop youth disciples equipped to reach into the manyattas with the gospel (month 6-12)
- Provide advice and vision regarding on going work of AIM among the youth of this diocese.

Duration:

Experience Required:
High School Diploma and previous experience relating to evangelising and discipling youth
Experience Desired:
Theological training and experienced youth worker
Personal Characteristics Required:
A learners heart. Willingness to listen to youth and youth coordinators and hear their heat, their joys and their difficulties. Ability to listen to church leaders and work with them to free youth to be productive. Commitment to train others
