Some countries prohibit their people from conversion, or even association. These nations are often referred to as “Restricted Access,” and the vast majority of them today are Islamic.

Sharing Christ within these borders is challenging, but not impossible. Creative Access ministry begins with establishing a credible presence in a land where traditional missionaries are not granted entry. But while that door may be closed, Christians can still travel and live in these countries as businessmen, professionals, students, development workers, and retirees.

The gospel is most effectively shared through relationships, and in Creative Access contexts ordinary life presents plenty of opportunities for the kinds of friendships that can safely explore spiritual things. In Islamic cultures, where misinformation and distrust have built walls against the Truth, this is often the only way to share Christ.

For Great Commission workers with a heart for people in creative access countries, much is required. It is a call to the long road, where small gains sometimes come at considerable cost – if not for you, then for a dear Muslim friend whose new faith in Christ will brand him an outcast. It’s a journey that may include moments of loneliness, suspicion, betrayal, and maybe the threat of violence. It is a spiritual battle. Real. Tangible. Formidable. And yet we go anyway – because Christ’s love compels us to love, and to do so courageously.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://aimint.org/ca/wp-content/uploads/sites/46/2023/01/IMG_9843-2.jpg” title_text=”somali woman, waiting to be seen at clinic” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” animation_style=”slide” animation_direction=”left” animation_duration=”1100ms” animation_delay=”100ms” animation_intensity_slide=”3%” box_shadow_style=”preset3″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ prev_background_color=”#f2f2f2″ admin_label=”Fresh Ingredients” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”#071824″ background_image=”https://aimint.org/ca/wp-content/uploads/sites/46/2023/01/P1000191-3-1.jpg” background_blend=”multiply” custom_padding=”100px|0px||0px|false|false” top_divider_style=”slant” top_divider_height=”80px” top_divider_flip=”horizontal” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ admin_label=”Stats” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”#071824″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_image src=”https://aimint.org/ca/wp-content/uploads/sites/46/2023/01/islam-in-africa21-01.png” title_text=”islam in africa21-01″ align_tablet=”center” align_phone=”” align_last_edited=”on|desktop” admin_label=”map” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”e11f1281-05cf-440c-9a26-731555c003b6″ header_text_color=”#FFFFFF” custom_margin=”||20px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Islam in Africa

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”e11f1281-05cf-440c-9a26-731555c003b6″ header_text_color=”#FFFFFF” header_3_text_color=”#FFFFFF” custom_margin=”||12px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Over 200 million Africans live in restricted nations

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”e11f1281-05cf-440c-9a26-731555c003b6″ text_font=”|600|||||||” text_text_color=”#FFFFFF” global_colors_info=”{}”]

In Africa, these closed nations are primarily found in the Sahara desert and northward, in a region that was once a stronghold for the Church until Islam’s spread in the seventh century.
