AIM’s air wing, AIM AIR have been busy recently flying in emergency relief and aid for victim’s of the severe drought and famine, and war in East Africa. Thousands of refugees have fled from Somalia to Kenya and in South Sudan refugees were fleeing bombing attacks from North Sudan. Famine also grips many in north Kenya.
AIM AIR pilot Jon Hildebrandt based in north Kenya responded to reports of up to 10,000 refugees fleeing bombing and atrocities in the Nuba Mountains of North Sudan, crossing into South Sudan. AIM AIR planes flew in relief kits each with a blanket, a pot, soap and food. Emergency relief is being done in conjunction with Samaritans Purse.
“What a tremendous opportunity for us to show God’s love to these people who have lost everything! After South Sudan’s independence (in July), the northern government began going through the Nuba Mountains (border regions) and executing southern sympathizers and bombing villages thought to be loyal to the south. Please pray for AIM AIR crews and AIM workers involved in relief missions. Pray for Samaritan’s Purse ground crews ministering to people in distress.
