Long Term – Theological Educator, Lesotho
The LEC Morija Seminary is looking for someone to lecture at the Seminary and visit and support ministers through travel and pastoral visits. This post will begin with one year of learning the local culture and language in a rural pastorate.
Location:
Morija, Lesotho
Experience (required & desired)
Required: Experience teaching at a theological education institution or significant experience working cross-culturally in Africa.
Desired: Experience teaching at a theological education institution in Africa and experience with a range of church traditions and positions.
Training & qualifications (required & desired)
Required: Higher Diploma in Theology.
Desired: Masters or Doctorate in Theology.
Personal characteristics required:
A passion and calling to see Christ-centred churches across Lesotho; proven teaching ability with strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong pastoral skills; humble and teachable, able to work under national leadership; comfortable preparing those set aside for pastoral ministry in the Lesotho Evangelical Church, including women; willing to spend the first year in full-time language study (although all learning and teaching at the Seminary will be in English).
