Steve and Heidi King are teachers from Tasmania, Australia, serving at Rift Valley Academy (RVA) in Kenya. They arrived in July 2023 with a heart to fill music teaching vacancies across the school. Since then, their roles have expanded significantly: Steve is now serving as the High School Principal and Academic Lead while continuing to teach music through various ensembles, and Heidi is the Head of Performing Arts, overseeing and teaching music from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Together, they are passionate about living out RVA’s mission: “Educating and discipling students toward their potential and enabling families to serve.” Committed through July 2025, they are prayerfully considering extending their service by an additional year as they see the great need and opportunity to make an impact in this unique community.
