Tim is AIM’s Asia-Pacific Region Director, working with churches to send and support missionaries to Africa’s unreached peoples.
Tim joined AIM Europe in 2012 and was appointed as AIM’s Asia-Pacific Director in Feb 2024 and is now based in the regional office located near Sydney, Australia.
Heather, who is a nurse, was born in Australia, which meant Tim could enter Australia on a spouse visa. Her family are 19 hours’ drive north from their home, so she hasn’t quite come home!
Tim’s role is varied, involving regular travel across the region and to various parts of Africa. With the support of a small office team, his main areas of responsibility include:
Member Care
Supporting and providing pastoral oversight for the 30 or so missionaries from the region.
Mobilisation
Promoting the work of AIM and developing partnerships with local churches to encourage and equip them to raise and send more workers. And, walking the application journey with missionary candidates to ensure they are suitably prepared to serve in often difficult places.
Administration
Running the day-to-day operations of the office and charity to ensure financial and legal compliance as we seek to honour God in response to His Great Commission.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?
Romans 10:14-15
Could you support Tim and Heather in this work, to see effective ministry and a new generation of missionaries sent from churches in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region?
