Short Term – Female Counselor in Residence, Rift Valley Academy, Kenya
AIM is looking for a trained Counselor to work at the Rift Valley Academy, to provide the necessary and professional resources and support needed for students’ emotional well being. It’s imperative that students have the support they need in order for their parents to feel at peace with their role on the mission field. We support these kids to help them grow to be healthy, holy people and to support mission work all over Africa.
Major Tasks:
1. Counseling students in crisis or experiencing emotional struggles
2. Preventative mental health throughout the school
3. Consulting with parents, dorm parents, teachers, administrators re: students
Location:
Rift Valley Academy, Kijabe, Kenya
Duration:
11 months
Experience Required:
Strong background in working with students of minority cultures, Master’s degree in counseling or related field; malpractice insurance
Experience Desired:
Overseas experience
