English Teacher and Administrator for a Language Centre, North Africa
AIM is looking for two individuals to work at a Language Center in northern Africa, one English Teacher and one Administrator. The positions will be from August 2018 to July 2019.
Major tasks include preparing and teaching English lessons, various admin tasks and sharing truth at every opportunity.
Location:
Creative Access Nation
We use ‘Creative Access’ to refer to nations, areas or ministries where there is great hostility towards Christianity and where traditional ‘missionary work’ is not possible. Workers, therefore, need to be ‘creative’ in how they proclaim the liberating news of Jesus Christ.
Duration:
From August 2018 to July 2019 ideally, but willing to consider those wanting to serve for a shorter time.
Training & qualifications:
Required: CELTA or equivalent
Desired: Experience teaching English to second language learners
Personal characteristics required:
You will have a committed call to live and proclaim the gospel in an area where another major world religion is very much dominant. You will have strong interpersonal skills; good communication skills; initiative. You will also be persistent; hard-working; creative; flexible; teachable; willing to learn from another culture and a good team player.
Housing:
Apartment appropriate to family size. Normally, minimum 2 bedroom.
