Short Term – Sports Ministry Worker, Korr, Kenya
This ministry assignment is in a remote, rugged environment – the desert of Northern Kenya. Bonds will be formed that will last for many years as one ministers to students at a critical time in their lives. There is a chance to walk along side them, mentor them, guide them in deepening their relationship with Jesus.
Major tasks:
- Outreach and discipleship
- Coaching, training and Bible Study through sports
- Offering spiritual counselling. This may happen through one-on-one visits or more formal small groups according to the initiative of the Short Termer.
Location:
Korr, Kenya
Duration:
Shortest time 2 months but can be extended (If extended for more than 2 months, then their will be immigration costs)
Required Experience:
Training in Sports Coaching
Personal Characteristic Required:
Have an adventurous spirit, resilient, able to live simply, can work as part of a team, willing to work under national leadership and strong personal walk with Jesus Christ.
Housing:
Tinned roof, Concrete housing with water. Electricity is not guaranteed.
