New Pray Africa web site is launched

In January the website: http://www.PrayAfrica.org was launched to encourage informed prayer as Africa Inland Mission seeks to be used by God to reach the unreached. Our aim is to show the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to the unreached peoples of Africa and fulfill the mission of Christ-centred churches among all African peoples.

See the PrayAfrica feature poster here. Please use this to encourage your local church into action with prayer. This new website replaces www.PrayAfrica.net. Today there remains almost 1,000 people groups in Africa that are unreached. AIM has identified 10 groups that do not have a strong evangelical witness among them. There are simply not enough people to tell them about Jesus!

The top ten groups are: The Antakarana and Sakalava of Madagascar; Chadian Arabs; the Ik of NE Uganda; the Ttingo (or Mamvu) of DR Congo; the Alagwa (or Wasi) of north central Tanzania; the Makwe of Mozambique; the Matumbi of Tanzania; the Mbororo of Chad, Central Africa Republic and West Africa; and the Swahili of Tanzania and Kenya.

The current priority is to engage these 10 groups in coming months with new teams of people who will learn their language and culture and live-out Christ among them. The first and a vital, ongoing step is to pray! We encourage people to learn about these groups, to pray and to engage!
