News and EventsAppointment of Office & Communications Manager for AIM Canada
September 2025
Mr. Tim Auld, Executive Director of Africa Inland Mission Int’l (Canada), is pleased to announce the appointment of Tori (Victoria) Bissell to the position of Office & Communications Manager at its national Ministry Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Tim is extremely grateful for the Lord’s leading in bringing Tori to the team and recognizes her appointment as an answer to prayer as she manages our office and leads our communications team. This appointment became effective on September 1, 2025.
Tori has been deeply involved in Africa Inland Mission’s ministry since 2018 and brings that experience into her new position. She served faithfully in Kenya for the past six years as Child Safety Coordinator at Rift Valley Academy, where she built and led a comprehensive child safety program. She also brings experience in administration, communication, policy development and training, along with a heart for the mission and care for people.
Her capabilities extend beyond education and child safety. Before serving with AIM, she worked with Plan to Protect as the Director of Training and Creative Publications. Her ministry background also includes leadership roles with Africa Children’s Choir, Muskoka Bible Centre, Parkway Bible Church and Bayview Glenn Church. She has also taken part in numerous short-term missions trips with Child Evangelism Fellowship and in Bolivia.
Tori expressed excitement for this new role and the opportunity to continue serving with Africa Inland Mission: “I’m really thankful for the opportunity to serve with AIM in the home office. Having spent time on the field, I know firsthand how much the support and care from the office means, and I’m grateful to now be part of this wonderful team. I love helping people stay connected to what God is doing, and I’m excited to play a role in sharing those stories and encouraging others to be involved.”
Personnel Director, Monte Strong, shares his enthusiasm for this appointment, “Tori is going to make a great addition to our team. She brings the right combination of skills, talents, personality, and experience. I’ve been hoping this would be her next assignment for a while now!”
Tori is originally from Ontario, Canada, and has recently returned after her years in East Africa. Her home church is in2one Community Church in Stouffville, Ontario. Tori loves expressing herself creatively through art, crocheting, and writing. She’s also an avid reader who always has several books on the go. One of her greatest joys is being “Auntie Toto” to her niece Millie (3) and her nephew Khi (5).
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Tori Bissell as she begins this new season of ministry.
