Appointment of Director of Borderless Canada

June 2024

Dr. Dan Baetz, Executive Director, Africa Inland Mission International (Canada) AIM is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Brown to the position of Director Borderless Canada. He assumed this new position in June 2024.

Borderless Canada is formerly MAC – Ministry to Africans in Canada. Greg with his wife Kristen previously served the organization with MAC as Diaspora ministry workers in Montreal, Quebec. He continues in this role but has assumed greater responsibility for all of AIM’s global outreach to African immigrants and refugees from coast to coast across Canada. He oversees a team of eleven persons located in the Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta.

In commenting on his new role, Greg expressed the sense of God’s incredible peace and direction that he felt in stepping into this leadership role. “Kristen and I are very excited to continue the work initiated by my dad (John Brown) and MAC. With a continued focus on Africans, the vision of Borderless Canada is to see formerly Unreached peoples thriving and multiplying in Christ-Centred churches across Canada”. Monte Strong, Personnel Director at AIM highlighted the endless possibilities of ministry with African and other immigrant communities through Borderless. “We will continue to follow the Lord’s leading in reaching newcomers in Canada and across the globe, as the Lord softens hearts to the gospel message”.

Mr. Brown became a member of AIM in February, 2013. He is a Civil Engineer by profession having graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario in 2010. During this time, he was active in evangelism and outreach through campus ministry. He has also pursued Biblical training at Heritage Seminary. He previously served in short- and full-term ministry assignments with AIM in Mukaa, Kenya, and Ndjamena, Chad.

Greg and Kristen have been married for 13 years and are the proud parents of two sons and a daughter. They worship at Saint-Leonard Baptist Church (Église de Saint-Léonard) in Montreal, Quebec.

Please join us in congratulating Greg Brown on being elevated to this position at Africa Inland Mission International (Canada).
