Short Term Opportunities to Serve

Refugee Outreach – Washington DC

June – July  (2 Months)

Washington DC​

Serve for two months in partnership with “For the Nations DC.” Opportunities include:

• Teach English. (Teaching experience is required / ESL experience is not required but helpful.)
• Oversee a Child/youth program for kids ages 4-13 that runs the same time as English classes. Plan and implement a program that is fun and meaningful.
• Provide Childcare for infants and toddlers while their parent(s) study – build relationships with the families.
• Tutor middle and high school students – help refugee kids understand their coursework.

For the Nations DC provides English-language instruction and other educational services that help meet the practical needs of refugees, asylees, and immigrants, and to share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ.
