Short Term Opportunities to Serve

Torit Inbound Team

SHORT TERM & FULL TERM

Torit, South Sudan

A 12-month program designed to train new missionaries to thrive in cross-cultural ministry, preparing them for long-term service. Teams are mentored by experienced missionaries and work in partnership with a local church as they learn culture and local religion, language-learning skills, the dynamics of teamwork and church partnerships, and essential communication skills for future ministry.

Based in the remote town of Torit, South Sudan, this is a program to train new missionaries in the cultures of South Sudan and help them transition to being fruitful ministers in the AIM South Sudan unit.  Team members will live in simple housing with exposure to a diversity of people groups and religious backgrounds. Team members also experience a variety of ministry settings through field site visits to other remote ministry settings, getting a true feel for what future missionary service might look like.

This program is designed for 4-8 singles, or couples without children. It is for learners who have a heart for future long-term ministry in Africa.  We’re looking for people with hearts for discipleship and a desire to reach the unreached in hard to reach places.  For people who are willing to step outside their comfort zone and who like the outdoors.
